Meta releases Imagine, an independent AI image synthesizer

Meta, the company behind the Meta AI assistant, has released its AI image generator tool called Imagine as a standalone product. Previously only available through the Meta AI virtual assistant in chat apps, Imagine allows users in the US to generate images using text prompts on their desktop or mobile browsers. Unlike other complex and paid options like Midjourney and DALL-E, Imagine offers a simpler interface with just a text box and a generate button. Meta plans to add invisible watermarking to the generated images for increased transparency and traceability. The company also intends to bring this watermarking feature to its other AI-generated image products in the future.
